Help for Hurricane Sandy

Our hearts go out ...

to everyone affected by Hurricane Sandy.

If you have become separated from your family, use your family communications plan or contact the American Red Cross at 1-800-RED-CROSS / 1-800-733-2767 or visit the American Red Cross Safe and Well site:

The American Red Cross also maintains a database to help you find family. Contact the local American Red Cross chapter where you are staying for information.

If you evacuated, return home only when officials say it is safe.

If you cannot return home and have immediate housing needs. Text SHELTER + your ZIP code to 43362 (4FEMA) to find the nearest shelter in your area (example: shelter 12345).

If you aren't personally able to provide shelter to those affected, it doesn't mean you can't help.

One way you can help is by donating Red Cross. You can make a donation to support their disaster relief only, by text or by phone.

You can donate right now: Text REDCROSS to 90999 to donate $10 to Disaster Relief

*Charges will appear on your bill

Or visit or call 1-800-RED-CROSS (1-800-733-2767).

Save the Children is also working to provide relief to families and their children. Visit to donate.

Feeding America has thousands of pounds of emergency food, water and supplies in the disaster zone that it is working to distribute to the storm's victims. To donate, visit or call 800-910-5524.

Please know we're thinking of all of you. Be safe.
